National Coloring Book Day

Stop by the library to pick up a free mini coloring book and coloring/activity book, courtesy of Dover Publications and the American Library Association! Take some time out of your busy schedule and rediscover coloring as a calming pastime.

Available August 2 and while supplies last.

Mobile Health Clinic - ONU Healthwise at the Library

Mobile Health Clinic: Fri., August 26 from 9:00-11:00 a.m - All services are provided by individuals with the Ohio Northern University Healthwise program. This clinic includes free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol (please fast for 12 hours to participate in cholesterol or blood sugar screening) and osteoporosis/ Participants may speak with ONU Healthwise students and staff about their results or concerns, and even receive referrals to area doctors.

Watercolor Workshop: Cow (Registration opens July 22)

Watercolor Workshop: Cow (R)($) will be held Thurs., August 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Local artist Jeanne Beutler will teach on the lower level of the library. Walk away with your own watercolor piece of art, complete with mat!

There is a $10 supply fee per person at the door (cash only please), and advance registration is required as space is limited.

Open to adults and teens/children (with a participating adult).

Fear No Art Class with Janette Reineke - Pointillism (Register by July 26)

Fear No Art Class (R) ($) Janette Reineke will be teaching a lesson from her book, Fear No Art: You Can Do It! and participants will create their own art. The Tues., August 9 lesson is: Pointillism using the art style of George Seurat.

There is a $10 supply fee at the door, cash only.

Register by July 26. Open to children grades 4-6. Space is limited.
